cokitty, that is just perfect; elegant while understated. Excellent balance of colors, metal, bling and form. The stone is gorgeous; looks like a roger dery to me.
bravo :appl:

The stone and setting are perfect together -- and I love the prongs. Lovely!

Laurie, the mounting actually is a recycle. I was given a ring several years ago, but a few years ago my hand got smashed between two CO2 tanks...my hand made it the stone in the setting did not. I kept the ring out of sentiment and when I saw that tourmaline on David's website, I wrote and asked him if his jeweler could make it work.

Thanks ladies! I wanted something that made me think of camouflage. I love the way the color changes in different lights. It is great!

I LOVE

I love it cokitty! Are you in the service by any chance? The camouflage idea was a great one :appl: I also love the split effect on the prongs. Those extra vertical lines give it an architectural/deco look that really suits the gem. Bravo!

It's really beautiful! I love the setting and particularly how the prongs complement the stone! May I ask what the previous stone was? Wonderful that you were able to recycle that ring.

I am not but the men in my family have all served and the vast majority of my friends are in now...I guess somethings you just pick up by osmosis.

Babynurse, the previous stone was a blue topaz, also an asscher cut. Sadly they are just not meant to stand up that kind of pressure.

Stunning!

Very nice. It is a beautiful ring and a great colored gemstone.

Very classy!! Love the rich green color.

Love it! Green plus asscher...what's not to like?
