My mom has graciously let me "have" my great aunt''s engagement ring. It is from the 1920''s. The only thing I know about it is the two center stones are around 1/2 carat, there are ten outer stones that are about .04 carats. They are bead set, however the beading has worn down almost completely. The stones are european cut (except for one of the small rounds that was replaced a few years ago). The ring size is a six and a half (I think). It makes a fun right hand ring!

Very pretty! I also wear my Great Aunt''s ring on my right hand. I love the idea of wearing something so old!

Oh, I love it!!

that''s a great ring!

How beautiful!

You might consider taking it into your jeweler to have a look at it to be sure the diamonds are secure, and no further repairs are needed...

Lucky You!

I love your ring. Was it a custom job? Do you know it''s history? It''s very differant from what you normally come across in antique jewelry.

I''m not sure of the history. I will have to ask my aunt the next time I see her. She is in her mid-90''s! I don''t know if it was a custom piece or not. Really good questions! When I pick up my new ring (2 weeks and counting) I will have the jeweler take a look at it. I love the advice I get from everyone! It is definitely helpful!
