Last week I posted a question for a graduation present with a very modest budget. I received some awesome ideas which sent my head spinning with possibilities!!! Yesterday, I stumbled upon the answer! Here she is: an antique ring with a .57 center stone. Yea!
The other day I was browsing the timeless classics forum and read the posts on pawn shops. Just on a whim, I went into a pawn/estate shop in town yesterday and there she was!! I pulled out my loupe and took a look. I couldn''t see any inclusions and the stones were in nice and tight. It had a wedding band with it and I asked if it would be purchased without the band and the lady told me it could! It had been brought into the pawn side of the store instead of purchased through an estate, so the price was amazing! Who doesn''t love a treasure hunt??
I''ll see if I can get a clearer shot of the details. The millegrain is fantastic.
Thanks everyone! I took some hand shots with her on my right hand, but it's really hard to push the button with your left hand! I finally gave up and took a hand shot with her on my left hand. I also realize that my hands look much older than I thought they did...eek. For some reason when I post a picture, the center stone looks cloudy but it doesn't at all in real life...
Thanks everyone for sharing my excitement! I would never have thought of cruising through a pawn shop if it weren''t for Pricescope members! I think I might become a regular browser at my local shop.
They also had some OEC''s that I might go back and take a look at....
