Got the ring today, but has some scratches on the setting

Dear all,
I got the ring today. When I open the ring box, the ring is not sitting in the center cushion.
I think maybe through shipping, the ring falls out from the cushion.
Will this affect the diamond?

I do find some scratches on the setting. Did you guys have this problem before?

New ring with some tiny scratches, is it normal? The setting is white gold. I can see the scratches with my nakes eyes,

Did you check your ring carefully when you received it?

It depends on what kind of gold, 18kt or 24kt are the softest, so more likely to scratch...if it''s 14kt, is would be harder to scratch it...but yes, if you have a picture of it, it would help to see.. also, most place have a 30 day return policy, so I would check with where you got it from and see what they can do...

Have you contacted your vendor?
Yes, photos would be best..

Even if the ring came out of its cushion, but was still in its box, there should not be anything in that box that could scratch it..(was there?)

You say they are tiny, could be it is from tools used to finish the ring / set the diamond.

Contacting your vendor to discuss is the the only course of action.
