Gorgeous Ring: Thoughts & Ruby Lane Advice

New to this community and enjoying all the advice and information from postings I have read!

Would like an opinion on this beauty:

It is slightly over my budget (2200-2300), but it is quite pretty. The seller noted that I could have the ring re-sized to a 6.5 after discussing it with her jeweler (thoughts? Is that really possible?)

What do we think of the overall price? A tad strange that it is on sale for 1000 less, but maybe not as I am new to the rubylane world.

The quality (color and clarity) seems acceptable. Has anyone purchased from this shop before?

I have indeed bought from Lang, which is very well known for excellent quality in antique jewelry and relatively high prices. The ring I got is exquisite and was fully and completely described in the catalogue listing. I would strongly lean toward dealing with them and especially love the first listing. I have no opinion on the Ruby Lane item, except to note the higher price for a lot of tiny diamonds. But if you like that style.....And yes, if the only question is resizing the band part of the ring, it is indeed possible to go up several sizes. You get into trouble when the diamonds are part of the band, as with full or partial eternity rings.

By the way, every single one of that shop's offerings seems to be on sale, in a big way. You have to wonder how real the non-sale price was.....

I've bought on Ruby Lane with no problems. Good experiences all around. I do note that pieces do go down in price if they aren't snapped up immediately. Clearly the sellers are willing to accept realistic prices in order not to wind up holding on to tons of inventory.

The first pic you listed is still for sale so I gather you have not bought it. Lovely piece and looks authentic. Center diamond is a transitional diamond and the setting is what I would believe to be a platinum/iridium mix. Likely 1930's or slightly older. These gorgeous rings are light and sturdy. They don't make them like this anymore.

A good antique jeweler here would ask $900 and sell for $500 when one is available. Some jewelers (in my area) who sell more modern jewelry would price it higher but it would not sell.
