Here is the opal I bought from Aussie Treasures, an Ebay store. Thought I'd start with an affordable stone, and this one is gorgeous! Pictures don't do it justice. Great red coloring, and really nice polish on a nice size stone.

I bought this to give this Ebay''er a shot. And I have to say this is a solid piece of opal with better coloring than pictured. So, no plans for this particular stone. I intend to buy another, more expensive stone for a ring.

given how nice this opal turned out, i ordered another slightly more expensive stone, with better color. will post when it comes!
