Has anyone visited in person? Do they have many stones in-house?

I live not too far and wanted to check it out in person, to get a better idea of where I''m willing to compromise or not (so far I''m pretty sure its not going to be with cut or color!!).

Ohhh go go go! They have a lot of stuff, and just make sure to make an appointment and tell them what you''re looking for, that way they can call in stones if they need to.

There are a ton of great stories about visiting GOG on here, I think it''s certainly worth the trip!

You are very lucky if you can go there! All stones pictured on their site are in-house, and if you want something they do not have in stock, they can try to search for one to call in for you to look at if they have advance notice. I advise you to make an appointment. I bought a beautiful stone from them, but I did it all over phone, internet, and UPS!

ooh thanks guys!! i am going to just stop in this week and check things out, and make an appointment for sometime soon. we're (and by we, i really mean my BF) are not ready yet, but i'm trying to get an idea of what i want, and the price, and what not.

EDIT--how does it work with tax if you buy in person? is it the type of thing where if you ship it out of state you can still avoid the tax?
