Hi all

I''ve been reading over the diamond education sections.

Is there a percentage range that is considered better than others? Or a percentage for table and a percentage for depth that makes for a better cut? When I see these percentages on a cert, how do I interpret them?

Right now, looking at princess cut stones.

thanks

Let''s see here. I am no expert; especially not in princess cuts. However, I think a lot of people have had successes using this chart from www.gemappraisers.com

Check it out! and Good Luck!

1A - Ideal Cut

Table % - 62.0% to 68.0%
Crown Height % - 10.0% to 15.0%
Girdle Thickness - Very Thin to Slightly Thick or Thin to Thick
Total Depth % - 64.0% to 75.0%
Polish/Symmetry - Good to Excellent

1B - Premium Cut

Table % - 60.0% to 72.0%
Crown Height % - 8.5% to 16.0%
Girdle Thickness - Very Thin to Slightly Thick or Thin to Thick
Total Depth % - 64.0% to 75.0%
Polish/Symmetry - Good to Excellent
