Interested in these two diamonds for a pair of studs. Thoughts / comments, please.

Round brilliants.

Both GIA certified xxx diamonds, 1.3 carats each, h color and si1 in clarity

Diamond 1 - GIA 2194927673
Diamond 2 - GIA 3215610536

Thank you in advance!

Just a bit of advice for future reference, people are much more likely to comment if you post the links to those GIA reports rather than expecting them to go look them up. But I'll post them this time.

The second stone looks good. It is within ideal cut range as far as the numbers go. Unless you can get an ASET image on the first one, I'd pass on that one. I wouldn't go over 35 on the crown angle with a 40.8 pavilion angle without an ASET image.

These are measurements to help you stay in ideal cut territory with a GIA excellent cut stone.

table: 54-58

depth: 60-62.3

crown angle: 34-35.0

pavilion angle: 40.6-40.9 (sometimes 41.0 if the crown angle is close to 34)

I realize that these are not ASET images, just hearts and arrows. I can ask the jeweler tomorrow to send me some more images. They are not open today, unfortunately.

They look good, but a H&A viewer will not show light leakage and poorer light return areas like an ASET will. These really are probably fine for studs. I am using the standards I use for ring stones when I tell you that I wouldn't want the first stone without an image. In reality, you might not be able to tell them apart. In fact, if you order them and CAN tell the difference, you could always return them and look for another match.
