Hi again.

I had another question to get me rolling in the initial stages of my search. I wanted to take my GF out to look at rings just so we can get an idea of what she likes in terms of sizes and settings.

Is there a jewelery store in Philly (or King of Prussia maybe) that has a good selection of settings and diamonds 1.5 cts and up? A lot of mall stores have settings with 1ct CZs. I''m going to hit T and Co but other than that I''m a bit stuck.

Thanks in advance!

King of Prussia Mall has quite a few awesome stores where I started with diamond shopping. I would go to:

BAILEY BANKS & BIDDLE
CHRISTIAN BERNARD
MILANJ DIAMONDS

Be careful of pressure and their sales pitches, and especially of Tiffany's and Cartier as falling in love with their pretty lights and diamonds is easy, their prices however are outrageous.

Good luck and have fun!

There''s a jeweler''s row in Philly. I think it''s 7th & Sansom. We went to Robbins Rocks as well (locations in Philly, Newark DE, and Allentown). Robbins is mostly designer rings which are a bit more expensive. We got a lot of good ideas from them though!! Good Luck with the ring hunt!

You could try Govberg''s in Bala Cynwyd. Family owned for many years, nice things, can get you anything you want.

Jack Kellmer Co is my fave jeweler. They have locations in Philly ( Walnut Street ) and Lancaster Ave in Haverford. I like the Haverford store best. Jeweler''s row is ok, but I don''t buy there.

Kellmer''s is a good choice. Bernie Robbins is around too, not too sure about them though.

Chiming in a little bit late here, but I recommend:

Kellmer's (I got my Royal Asscher and one of my estate rings there)
Linde Meyer (in Liberty Place on 17th Street between Market & Chestnut Streets - I got an antique pendant made by Tiffany there. She is knowledgeable, honest and has excellent taste.)
T & Co (at Broad & Walnut Streets and the King of Prussia Mall)
J E Caldwell (at the King of Prussia Mall)
Bailey Banks & Biddle (King of Prussia Mall)
There is also a Govberg's in the Boyd's store at 18th & Chestnut Streets.
