Do you have a picture?

Idealscope?

Or have you seen it in person?

And if it is a PS vendor you are looking to buy from; have you put the diamond on hold?

yea, blue nile shouldnt have any qualms with holding it for you for a little while. Secondly, the "ideal" cut rating doesn''t necessarily mean anything as it is graded by GIA and not AGS, therefore the "ideal" is just what blue nile is interpreting it as.

To really form an opinion it would be best to provide all of the information provided on the cert. The actual GIA cut grade for starters, the angles etc will be critical next, and then a report of how eyeclean it is, what color the inclusions are and a look at the inclusion plot to see exactly what we and where they are.

But a word of caution, blue nile has some signature in house diamonds, those they could look at for you personally. Other diamonds, like this one no doubt, are in location at a wholesalers location and if you ask if it is eyeclean they will call up the people selling the diamond to them, who will then take a peek at it for you and give a yea or nay. Thus it might be as they say, but it might not be, just depends on the standards and quality of the unknown person looking at it for you.

The best way to go about this is to either give the actual link to several stones, get some feed back and quickly hold the one or two that look most promising, or else find one or two yourself that look most promising hold them and then post about it:) but you are probably safe enough for a little while with a diamond of this size.

Bella, not enough cut info to make an informed pass or buy from me. I will say that for an F that size to be priced that low, I seriously doubt if it''s an eyeclean stone. I would definitely get the cut info (pa and Ca at least) as well as see if they can tell you more about the inclusion. If not, it might be worth the return policy to eyeball it for yourself at that price.

WHFSR, this is not listed at BN. It is however listed at several other vendors on PS so it is a virtual diamond (and listed for less than the price you listed at some of the vendors). I could not find that any vendors have the report # for it - Mondera has a copy of the 2004 report that does not have the additional cut details. Do you know the report #?

I am with Shay on this one. The price for a well over 1 carat stone F in color seems very low for a well cut stone being eye-clean. In addition the GIA report doesn''t have a lot of info. Have you tried Good Old Gold or White Flash or James Allen? If for no other reason than to compare well cut stones with others.

Well whiteflash has this one in there virtual inventory, and apparently they are being fooled by whoever this distributor is into calling it four stars as well. However, that does mean that they can pull it in for you and if it is recommended it looks like the best option I have seen so far (and I am looking to be sure) and if they don''t recommend it then its no money out of your wallet. Might be worth considering anyway, at least worth finding more info, I''ll post some of what I have found later, but you will probably have found most of them as well:)

well, this probably won't help any, but as I watched a movie I did a little browsing and selected a few I would like to get more information on

first is the one you mentioned, looks like its def worth getting more info on.
the others

Angara.com certificate number 15733083-it won't let me link to it directly...

and while I am not a big blue nile fan this one is promising. The cut grade is only very good but it looks like thats may be due to a thick girdle and the inclusions may be around the edges, anyway, worth calling about maybe?

I am going to say though, this is a heck of a difficult hunt, not many options in that price range...and many of my suggestions are over by a good 5-10%
