Gone a bit band crazy

I’ve got rather distracted from my setting projects recently trying to find the right bands to go with some of my rings - particularly the new OEC.

Modern diamonds just did not look right next to it. And I hate going without an eternity ring. So I decided to look for a vintage / Art Deco band to wear with it. In the meantime I fell in love with a vintage style two tone band on Etsy. And while browsing I came across an amazing little Lang Collection contour band which I think will go really well with my newly set radiant (to be collected next week - yay!).

So it’s been raining bands in my house.

Here is the new collection.

Well, you know I support a band habit!!!!

They are all gorgeous. Is the art deco eternity single cuts? OECs? I can’t quite tell. It is lovely!

OECs. A mixed bag - some VS and some SI and a mish mash of crown heights and culet sizes. But it’s got some character and unlike a lot of the ones I tried it’s quite low profile which I liked. There was a single cut band also which I almost bought but it was a wee bit tight for the summer when I swell up.

The band is new but Art Deco inspired - and Lang were fab to deal with btw. Couldn’t recommend them enough. It’s engraved all down the side and I really love it. It’s a tiny thin little thing but it sort of finishes off the cushion cut rings I have when worn next to them.

I don’t think this is the end of my band obsession.

Oh that sounds beautiful. Low profile is also so nice in a band.

I found the band in the most gorgeous little shop in a market town in the U.K. called Battle (where the Battle of Hastings was fought in 1066!). It’s called Friar House and it’s in a wee little oak beamed shop which must be hundreds of years old. They have the most incredibly extensive collection of old cut bands and clusters and other little goodies which are, for the U.K., not unreasonably priced. I go and drool over their website all the time.
