None; just like petrol, the price hike is immediate but the price decline takes a while. Stock settings will remain at old prices and there might be a slight dip in custom setting costs if the jeweller needs to order the metal. Labour for custom is unlikely to move and will stay high.
Agreed . And I've been watching certain sites fairly closely, too. It's annoying seeing some places even charging higher prices for settings - I'm definitely not naming any names, but I watch a lot of etsy seller's stores pretty regularly, and I've seen increases at a couple of them. It's certainly their right to charge what they want; I'm not happy about it though . I guess what irks me is that a lot of etsy jewelers cast their rings on demand, so they're not sitting on older, more expensive stock - they could definitely be offering today's cheaper prices, isn't that correct? Or am I missing something?
