Gold chain length: is this clavicle length?

Hi,

I need your input please! I just bought this 18k chain. The seller forgot to shorten it down to 15" as I requested before shipping it out to me. It's 16" long. I wanted a very short everyday chain clavicle style.

Based on what you see, should I get it shortened another inch down to 15' or should I leave it be? I kinda want it to be visible while I wear t-shirts and stuff....

I think it's perfect. 16" is my preferred length.
18 is too long, as a pendant on it will fall into my shirt, and 15" rides too high and chokes me a bit. I love your chain!

I'd wear it for a bit and see how you feel. 16" chokes me but 16.5 is ok. My perfect length is 17"

I think it's perfect and that 15" would look too short. Plus you got an extra inch of gold for the same price lol.

If you wanted a very short chain, though, that's not the look you have going on with that chain ...

To my eyes, it looks like the chain could be easily shortened an inch (to 15") for the closer-to-the-neck fit you wanted yet it would still have a tiny bit of drape (rather than a tight choker fit).

Since you actually ordered a 15" chain and the seller mistakenlyy sent you a 16" -- you could ask the vendor to send you a 15" chain and you will ship back the 16"

Could you have a jeweler add in a jump ring at 15 inches so you could wear it at either 15 or 16?

I would ask for the jump rings. My favorite necklaces are adjustable from 17-20".

Where did you get the chain from? I like the color and style.

Have you actually tried it with the T shirts you want it to be visible with? I'd do that first, before having it altered.

The vendor apologized and offered a $15 refund to have it shortened locally. To much pain to ship back to China. However, the vendor keeps asking me to change my review to a positive one...I keep asking for the $15 refund first

It looks a nice length the way it drapes over your collar bone

i like 18 inches myself because i dont like anything tight around my neck
