gold chain, could it be solid or is it hollow?

Hi, how is everyone, im in the market for buying new solid gold chain, 14k yellow gold and i found a few examples. One i like the most is this 14k yellow gold 24inch, 5mm thick chain, 47.5 grams. What my question is, can it be hollow? Seller told me it is solid gold but for some reason weight for lenght and thicknes seems to be on low side, what do you think, is it worth buying this type of design or is it better to go with cuban style? ( like them both the same). Every help and advice will be much appritiated. Thank you
