Hello!
Can anyone recommend an honest jeweler or pawn shop that pays well for scrap gold?

I'd google for refineries near you and check them out. The ones near me all pay the highest scrap prices, not really worth it selling to the jewelers/pawn shops/gold buyers. Look for the percentage of the gold value that you are paid. There's a refinery near me that almost everyone in my jewelry class uses that pays 90% of value for everything but gold, and 95% of value for gold and accepts non-industry people.
