First off, here is my diamond stone, and old setting search thread:

It appears the thread is too old for me to post in, or I just have no idea how to find a reply button!
Anyways, I ended up after a long wait and see approach with the GOG OMC's, upon a K VS1 1.48 stone. Thank you Jon for making my budget fit in such a beautiful and unique stone.
Stone
I tried and failed to get good photos of the loose stone.
Early this year I did end up getting the Mark Silverstein ring, the 3 ring design she liked the best. It's a shame such a nice ring is so hard to find a picture of online, his website is flash so you can't link, but here is the setting without a head:
Ring
If you want to view all his rings, and see this ring, you can go to his site www.msimagines.com, and scrolling through Bridal you'll find this in Group 19.
I again failed to get any good shots out of my camera of it...
... fast forward several months, and my girlfriend is done with her 2nd year of law school.
So I took her to Napa to celebrate, and during a picnic by a lake proposed.
I took her for some sparkling wine tasting afterward to celebrate. Naturally on the way back to the car she takes ONE photo out in the parking lot, and manages to get the shot I never could. Good thing one of us is handy with a camera.
So here it is, my GOG OMC stone, in the Mark Silverstein 2036-WPD ring, on the hand of my fiancee:
