First off, here is my diamond stone, and old setting search thread:

https://www.pricescope.com/community/threads/gog-omc-potentially-decided-but-now-a-hard-setting-search.128893/

It appears the thread is too old for me to post in, or I just have no idea how to find a reply button!

Anyways, I ended up after a long wait and see approach with the GOG OMC's, upon a K VS1 1.48 stone. Thank you Jon for making my budget fit in such a beautiful and unique stone.

Stone

I tried and failed to get good photos of the loose stone.

Early this year I did end up getting the Mark Silverstein ring, the 3 ring design she liked the best. It's a shame such a nice ring is so hard to find a picture of online, his website is flash so you can't link, but here is the setting without a head:

Ring

If you want to view all his rings, and see this ring, you can go to his site www.msimagines.com, and scrolling through Bridal you'll find this in Group 19.

I again failed to get any good shots out of my camera of it...

... fast forward several months, and my girlfriend is done with her 2nd year of law school.

So I took her to Napa to celebrate, and during a picnic by a lake proposed.

I took her for some sparkling wine tasting afterward to celebrate. Naturally on the way back to the car she takes ONE photo out in the parking lot, and manages to get the shot I never could. Good thing one of us is handy with a camera.

So here it is, my GOG OMC stone, in the Mark Silverstein 2036-WPD ring, on the hand of my fiancee:

Wow! A very beautiful and unique ring. That is an awesome shot but would love to see more.

Congrats to you both - looks like you did a fabulous job with that ring - it''s a real showstopper!!

I LOVE it - both the diamond and the ring!
Fantastic! - A real piece of art.
The design is inspired and clever.
I don't often see something that bold and unique that I love.

The ring looks loose, but maybe that is the design, that not all of the three rings are tight.

I thought the same thing for a second when she put it on.

Turns out only one of the rings holds it in place over the top and sides, the other 2 rings go over that ring on top and the sides, and thus are off the finger. It's hard to see but the rings don't even touch each other either around the top and sides, there is space between them.

Around the bottom of her finger they do all in fact lie against the finger, and combine into one at the very bottom.

For photos, I'll see if she gets any more, and if so I'll post, but it seems I am useless with a camera, so no promises.

Also, meant to put this in Show me the Bling/Ring, guess Rocky Talky will have to do, oops!

Congratulations!!! Gorgeous stone, and that's a lovely setting design

Laughing at your story of her getting The Shot on her first try

Would love to see pics of the profile and underside, I'm having a hard time imagining your description.

Will she wear a separate wedding band?

Those three rings orbiting the finger brings to mind a certain haute couture I saw recently.

That''s funny, Gaga tickets are her birthday present, she''s obsessed with that lady.

Tell her, great minds think alike.

When your Lady wears it all her friends will go Gaga over this ring, but they won't know the secret reason why.
Don't tell. Shhhhhh.

Looks great...is it comfortable?

The rings are so delicate, even hanging off her finger like that, being just a few mm thick each, it looks like a lot more separation there than I could see in person.

It doesn''t seem like it in the photo, but those 2 rings going over the 3rd one do get pretty close to the skin again as they go around the finger, so most of the gap is little bids of space between the little rings above the finger. On the left side of the ring in the picture, most of that space is above, not actually over the side of the finger.

She thinks it fits great so far... but then again having waited for me to propose for a while, she would probably wear barb wire with a diamond in the middle!

Ahhhh, that''s an incredible ring!

Great ring. The diamond is gorgeous.

That''s really wild!
love the AV in it...
