GOG K VS1 PENDANT!!

back in May i purchased my 1.04 K VS1 diamond from GOG. At first I was very concerned about the color since I wanted to set it in a thin platinum bezel but when I spoke to Tim he said it was totally doable!
bought the diamond online, THEN drove to the store the following Saturday to look at chains. (yeah, i did it backwards). When I saw the diamond in person I couldn''t detect much color at all (apparantely i''m totally color blind as well as backwards).
In the end i didn''t have it set at GOG but rather by a local jeweler.
My husband had "misplaced" i say lost, our camera but I finally got around to purchasing another so without further ado, here''s a few pics.
sorry about the dirty stone but instead of postioning the camera to get a decent shot, i kept moving the diamond and got it all dirty!
neck shotss to come when i figure out how to take them!!

I am not usually a fan of bezel set stones, but this necklace may have changed my opinion. So pretty!!!!

I really do like that! The bezel is just the right size and I like how the chain connects without such big loops. How does the chain connect?

DiamondSeeker: When I initially went to have it set, I told them I wanted it stationary but without those big loops on the sides of the bezel so they soldered the chain to it. I love the way it looks this way.

This is the stone that GOG used in their “Assessment of Fire video” and it really is beautiful.

I LOVE that!!! Are you liking the K? Is the color different in the bezel vs. a prong set?

Hi Miranda,

As far as the K color, you can''t see the side of the diamond in the bezel
where i guess most of the color would show, so to me, it doesn''t look
yellow at all. in some lighting conditions though, you can see the warmth
of the stone. The jeweler was surprised that GIA graded it as a K. We compared it to one of his GIA graded I stones and face up, couldn''t see
a difference. Then again my stone was going crazy, flashing lights in all directions so it was hard to focus on the color

I wouldn''t use a K for an engagment ring- but for a pendant, (at least
bezel set), i think it''s perfect.
