Ask your insurance company. Many would accept the bill of sale from the vendor as being sufficient. You may or may not want the inflated appraisal given to you by a vendor or an independant appraisal which will often be more than you paid for the piece. That is your choice but no matter who does your appraisal make sure you are clear if you want it to reflect a discounted internet price, or the cost at full retail at a B&M store as these are often quite different.Date: 1/28/2010 12:14:26 PM

For insurance purposes, would you guys take GOG''s appraisal or would you still go to an independent appraiser?
Thanks,
