Hi as a jewelry designer and collector I sometimes tell stories through my designs. I sometimes imagine The Great Jewelry Collectors wearing my designs. They were of course the collectors of yester years who always went big. I have a penchant for unusual colored stones and unusual combinations. If you have the love for the same share your jewelry pieces! Let’s dream off better days.

To start it off I’d like to share this shot of my Tanzanite Bead Necklace and Blue Sapphire Bead Necklace with 24k Gold Accents.

And this Earrings of intense Blue Sapphires, Australian Colored Sapphires and Carved Turquoise flowers.

Enjoy! :)

OMG those are to die for. What lovely opals. Especially the one with a floral design is simply divine.

Ooh, your beads are gorgeous. I feel self conscious wearing necklaces but I would love these as a bracelet. Even more so if I could achieve the same look with emeralds :-) So, what size emerald beads should I be looking (dreaming) for :-)

Both the Tanzanite and Blue Sapphire have 17mm as the largest bead. But the difference in weight is big. The Tanzanite weights 645.1 carats while the Blue Sapphire weights 850 carats.

Stunning. And those earrings! Wow. That is my favorite color in the world.

I think highly of Tourmaline. Not many think of it as a royal gem but it was the formidable Dowager Empress Cixi of China who was a connoisseur, imported vast amounts from California. It is so versatile and colors lend themselves well to romantic designs.

I love your flamboyance and joy in jewelry! .
I love tourmaline too, though I only have this set...earrings and a necklace made from very large slices of one, old and large Brazilian tourmaline crystal. I do believe it is a noble stone.

The gradations in color are amazing. That’s a truly spectacular statement necklace. :)

Thank you! I’m all for GO BIG pieces... Loving the largess of your pieces:)

Thanks! It is a Sri Lankan sapphire.

WOW that is so special. :)

Also thank you for posting about your Tourmaline slices. I totally forgot that I had similar bracelets. Made me get up in the middle of the night to rummage through my jewelry when I remembered.

1st one is a Liddicoatite Slice
2nd is a Bicolor Pink-Orange Slice

The Liddiccoatite Slice is special to me because it’s the 1st bracelet I ever bought with my own money. :) led me to the path of collecting mostly bracelets.

The inspiration for this one is a particularly old Plumeria Flower Tree in my village. It’s fragrance is ever divine. Black Opals, faceted Moonstones, Tourmalines, Pearls and Diamonds. This is a particularly elaborate piece.

And, I am with you, I LOVE bangles and bracelets!

Here’s a high karat gold filigree ‘set’ . I always wanted to find a bracelet like the one pictured below to go with them.

It’s funny and absolutely amazing that I have someone in common with. I collect high karat gold too! But I usually put them as accents to bracelets. I also have a statement ring opal! I just knew someone out there would have similar tastes as I do haha.

Repost: 32.51carat Ethiopian Opal. Transparent but with amazing play of color. Set in 18k gold and accented with diamonds.

Sorry mistook the opals post as yours was Bron357’s. My bad.

Oh my gosh, I LOVE this!

Love that gem amazonite, and beyond that, I appreciate how your pieces capture a larger scale, not only in size, but in the raw power of gemstones, capturing their full presence with both perfections and imperfections. What a great metaphor that full beauty often is comprised of the relationship between both, in whatever expression it takes.

I can relate to adoring amazonite and rhodochrosite. Here are mine, but, for me, they are not ‘large’ pieces. 2E8C9B7D-F69A-45ED-AA2B-3E827AE6C4B2.jpeg‘large’ pieces.

Thanks! I just love gemstones precious or semiprecious. They’re all good and lovely to me. But what I love about colored gemstones the most is that you have the free hand to design around the gem. They are all unique each and everyone of them different. Unlike with diamonds which you can get calibrated to your specifics. And often follow your design instead of the other way around.

For a gemmy Rhodochrosite I think that’s pretty sizable and gorgeous.

Ethiopian Opals are mesmerizing... the play of color simply spectacular... Here’s some pendants and necklaces which feature some Ethiopian Opals.
