girls, how much do you spent on makeups?

I usually spend around $600 a year...mostly on Chanel makeup and skincare products. Sometimes I will buy a pretty eyeshadow from MAC, but I rarely use a lot of color...those are usually impulse buys for me.

I am addicted to Chanel eyeliners, mascaras and lip glossimer (I wear Vanilla over Chanel lip contour everyday).
I also buy Chanel nail color but 99% of the time I use a neutral color or nude (I love deep purples and black but can''t pull them off).
The bronzer I use everyday is MAC...I have the summer 2009 Soleil Tan De Chanel 4 Facettes Bronzing Powder (Limited Edition) from Chanel, but it is too pretty to use, so it sits on my bathroom counter! :)

I am thinking about picking up the new Dior mascara (Diorshow)...has anyone tried it?
Also...any advise for skincare / anti-aging products for women in their 30''s that you have had good results with??

I usually spend about 200-300 a year...maybe more if I get a sale for a gift with purchase. I think its about getting quality over quantity. I did order a great eyeshadow pack from sephora a while back for $20 that has like 30 different colors.

DON''T laugh, here is a before pic....when I just got off an airplane....

Because without it, I look like this.

See previous pic, you decide.

To date this year, I''ve spent about 15000.00.

No more pics posted, I''ve already broken the no post rule for myself.

Not much, I guess. I never use anything up. I still have the first lipstick I bought when I was 12 - Mary Quant #058 "Shine On". It still looks good on me. I have about 1/3" left.

I guess they don''t make makeup like they used to!

Not much...why are you always looking for pictures???

DB! How old is that lipstick? You know they have an expiry date...

I don''t spend too much; maybe $80? I posted a pic of me on PS w/out make up, not much different; I have dark thick eye lashes so no biggie if I don''t have eye make up on. I do need lipstick though or at least I feel that way.

Hmmm . . . I guess it is 43. It is creamy, sheer and still smells like it should.

I have had less old lipsticks "turn" after many years [those Estee Lauder freebies they used to hand out] so I tossed those [along with anything else that had "turned"] but I have some old stuff that is still great.

BTW, expiration dates on makeup is a relatively new phenomenon.

I spend about $300/yr, but that''s including skincare stuff, which I''m nuts about. Makeup-wise, the only splurge item that I can''t live without is YSL Poudre Sur Mesure, it''s amazing! It keeps me oil-free and gives that soft focus kind of finish. Otherwise I use a smidge of mineral makeup, like 10 grains a day haha, and my eyeshadows are all neutral Bobbi Brown, and those never go away either. O, and I must have undereye concealer on, otherwise I look like the undead

Oh that''s ok then

you had me worrying for a bit there LOL

I notice that lipstick and lipglosses that are +1 yr old tastes funny. Not that I make it a habit to lick my lipgloss! It just happens by accident

I''ve tried it, I wasn''t crazy about it, the brush is huge and the formula dried out really quickly, only got to use it for about two weeks before the formula started drying up and forming clumps. Though, maybe it was just my tube because some friends and my niece use it and love it. I just didn''t see all the jazz about it (I had read good reviews of it in magazines). Now Chanel Exceptionnel is the best mascara I have ever used and I have tried many! The brush is the star!

Ellen and San Diego Lady thank you for the good laughs.

I actually spent quite a bit about a year ago because I went to get a demo from Clinque and "bought it all". Silly me; I didn''t ask what it would cost. It was over $200. I do like the makeup and it has lasted really well. There is a cosmetics store at a nearby outlet mall with Clinique 25% off so that saves me some money. i picked up quite a few eye shadows that way. Now that I have a supply though it isn''t costing me much.
