Girdle thickness

When a girdle is thin to thick, should you stay away from it?
Should you look fo one that is described as just thin, medium, etc? I was told that thin to thick may mean it is sort of lopsided or something. Should you look for the same girdle thickness for any shape or does it vary?

If the price is right and the smaller diameter does not worry you then thick girdles are fine, they have little impact on appearance and stop chipping.
