Do any of the vendors or appraisers here have the ability to engrave a symbol on the girdle of a diamond or does it have to be English text? I''m assuming there must be a way to have a jpeg file or something similar used to create a master for a laser engraving. Is this possible? How much would it cost?

What a great question!

Thats a great idea, but I would imagine it would require
some special programing on the laser engraver, possibly even a more advanced machine than whats currently available.

It is completely possible. The design needs to be imported into the inscription machine as a bitmap or jpeg image and then converted to a format used by the inscription machine... Cost depends on the extent of the design... We inscribe on the premises so simple designs wouldn't cost much if anything at all... Keep in mind that the graphic should be of a design that will look good and remain clear when brought down to miniscule size. We can test the design on a cubic zirconia to make sure that you like the results... For best results, you will probably want to find a diamond with a 1.2 - 2.3% girdle thickness.
