Hope this works!!

When my great grandmother passed away in 2004 as age 93 she left me all of her jewelry. We had spoken about it beforehand and all she really cared about was that her e-ring and wedding band be kept in one piece and I hold on to them. The rest... She didn't care that much about. I have a majority of it in a safety deposit box because I never wear it and don't have room for it at home, anyway.

I'm not engaged, so I thought I would share the bling Nana left me.

This is her set. Really hard to get pictures of at 5am and in crappy lighting in my kitchen. I know it's platinum and that's about all I know.

Here is a side view of the wedding band. It has "P.S. to A.C. 12-05-30" engraved on it. You can kinda see it:

This was done before Nana passed. It was a "dinner ring" (she called it that) that my jeweler turned into a slide. Those are diamonds and sapphired:

Her ring is fabulous AS IS. What a blessing to have such a beautiful keepsake!

What beautiful pieces to get from your Nana. I say wear them and enjoy them. I don't think you necessarily need to be engaged to do so! I would at least wear the e-ring as a RHR.

You're a very lucky lady. Every piece is beautiful.

Those are gorgeous! Wear them and love them! Can we get more pics, please? :cheeky:

Beautiful rings! I have my grandmother's Ering and plan on giving it to DD when she is older.

I do wear the rings as right hand rings. I love them and can only hope to end up in a marriage like hers. They were married 65 years when my great-grand father passed away.

Her ring is beautiful...if I was you I'd be strutting it as a RHR (unless you plan on using for your ering in the future). I hate
to see lovely jewelry not being worn and I'm sure Nana would be pleased.

That is so cool! All the pieces are beautiful and I love the engraved initials and date. What a special remembrance of your nana.

Beautiful ring and slider! I would keep them as they are. What a special keepsake from your Nana. I have a ring that was my grandmother's and plan to pass it down to my daughter someday.

I am realllllly loving that E-ring. I'd wear it as a RHR too!

How beautiful - her set is especially lovely

How wonderful that you'll have such sentimental pieces to always remember her by ::)

Your great-grandmother's rings are beautiful. What treasures you have. I have my grandmother's ering, from 1929, and my other grandmother's pendant (wedding gift) from the same era. It's like wearing a piece of them, when you have it on, isn't it?

Wow that wedding set knocks my socks off

Beautiful! More pictures please! :D

Such special pieces! :appl: :appl: :appl: Thanks for sharing.

I'll try to take more pictures tomorrow during the day in natural light with my dslr.

I really love the e-ring, too! If I had to guess then I would say that the center stone is .5 carat. The square halo around it has 16 small rounds in it. The steps down the sides (don't know if you can see them) has 3, then 2, then 1 on each side. The wedding band has 5 round diamonds on the top, but has a design all the way around to match the band of the e-ring. I'm guessing it was purchased (or designed) as a set. My great grandmother never knew. She used to tell me that he just slipped the box into her locker at work... They worked together at a clothing company. She said her parents tried to make her give it back saying it was too extravagant for a 20 year old girl.

It really is like having a piece of her with me. I wear the necklace a lot to work or out and always get compliments on it because it isn't something you see a lot. She and I had it turned into the slide because as a ring I would have never worn it, but as a pendant it's become my favorite. She even tried "stealing" it from me since that was something she gave me before she passed.

Great collection and it's very sweet that they are family pieces.

Very nice pieces! Wonderful that you have such nice keepsakes to go along with all the sweet memories of your grandmother. Sorry for your loss (even tho it's been some time) - but I'm sure she had a full life.

What beautiful pieces! They really are treasures! It must be so wonderful to remember, what sounds like a remarkable lady, each time you glance at your hand or catch sight of your reflection. Wear them in great health! :wavey:

WOW--what beautiful pieces!! :appl:
