Please help!
Is there a formula to use when searching for an ideal cut when shopping for an emerald cut diamond? I was told the grid is only used for round diamonds. I also have a EGL appraisal for a very nice diamond. Below is part of the info. I have an appraisal for under $8,300..what do you think?
Thanks!

Check out the parameters for emerald cuts on my site:
www.gemappraisers.com :read:

It reads like a very decently cut stone. Not way too deep, reasonable table, and a relatively high crown. It may be a keeper.
