GIA Very Good looks excellent on HCA. Thoughts on these #s?

I was crunching the numbers last night on a few stones just to see if I could break the 1 ct mark on my budget and ran into this GIA vg 1.2 ct. It's a J color but very strong blue fluorescence which I understand might make it appear whiter. I wasn't even going to consider a vg cut, but the HCA says this is excellent. Anyone have an opinion?

Table: 60
Depth: 59.5
Crown angle: 33.5
Pavilion angle: 40.6
cutlet: none
thin to slightly thick (faceted) 3.5%
polish/sym vg vg.

Looks promising. Might have some obstruction issue, stone going dark if you view it too close and Idealscope could show more black beside the arrow shafts and arrow heads. Since you can see it yourself, check it out if it is detrimental or not.

HCA favors slightly shallower stone.

Hi Picabia

Its bordering on what we call a shallow shallow with the proportions, it could be a nice diamond or it could look dark at close viewing due to obstruction - the viewer''s head/ body can block light to the stone. Can you get any images and where is it for sale at? Check the VSB fluorescence isn''t making the stone look cloudy, this is rare but best to check.

Thanks Stone and Lorelei,

Lorelei, the stone is "virtual," but cheapest at Eternity Diamonds, which is where I''m shopping. I already have two stones to see there today and am pushing it asking them to get me another on such short notice, but we''ll see. Can you tell me, this "shallowness" that threatens light obstruction, is the stone below at risk for the same thing? I posted this before, but the only concern seemed to be brilliance over fire, and I''m seeing it today.
Thanks!

Measurements: 6.27 - 6.30 x 3.73 mm
Carat Weight: 0.90 carat
Color Grade: F
Clarity Grade: VS2
Cut Grade: Excellent
Depth: 59.3%

Crown Angle: 32.5°
Pavilion Angle: 41.0°

This should be fine, not likely to have obstruction issue.

This one might be ok, its usually shallow crown and pavilion angled stones or shallow pavilioned that are most at risk of obstruction.
