I found this cute pink diamond in a Kallati setting today in a pawn shop. GIA reports says 0.30ct, natural fancy pink, even color, comments are blank (no heat or color enhancement noted). but dates back to 2012. Looks almost brand new and is so sweet for under $2500. The pics aren’t great — bad weather here — but has a great sparkle. Since it looks brand new, would that mean the GIA is pretty reliable despite its age?

I didn’t get it but was curious what you all think as I’m learning about pink diamonds. Thoughts? Good deal? Does the cut of a pink diamond impact the value?IMG_4666.jpeg

I can't speak to the diamond, especially since I can't really see it, but given what Kallati colored diamond rings cost new, that's a good 50%ish off.

Was the diamond set when GIA completed their report?

The GIA report doesn’t reference the setting — it looks like the stone was evaluated before being set. I wish I had gotten better pics but the weather is terrible here so I didn’t have much luck.
