GIA online report different than printed report?

Hi all, I was sent a scanned GIA report, which by the way looks perfectly authentic (I trust the dealer too). The dealer said that he recut the rock to a smaller size (the cut wasn't ideal).

The scanned copy lists the rock as 0.98 ct. 3EX, perfect dimensions
The online GIA report lists the rock as 1.41 ct.

What is going on here? Are the reports different because GIA has regraded the diamond and hasn't updated the online database yet?

Thanks!

43% is a lot of weight loss for a recut unless we're talking about a damaged stone, and I would expect that to lead to a different report number when it's done. This sounds like a typo in the report number.

GIA does make errors just like the rest of us. If you are confident that the number is correct, call them up and ask about it? 800-428-9175. They're pretty cooperative about questions like this.
