GIA laser inscription registry

Got my ring today and it is beautiful. But I couldn't find the GIA inscription registry. Is it on the girdle?

Yes it should be on the girdle but you would need a 10x loupe sometimes a 20x loupe to see it depending on how good your eyes are these days.

Some stones might or might not have it. Chances are, it is there on the girdle. You just need better magnification to see it.

My diamond doesn't have one, despite a GIA report less than 18 months old and a thin-extremely thick girdle (cusion cut).

Or at least the certificate/report doesn't refer to such an inscription.

So you won't always find one. Does the certificate say it has one?

My stone has one and it's very difficult to see even with a 10x loupe. I can locate it but I'm not able to read the numbers. If the report indicates that you have an inscription, then any jeweler should be able to assist you in locating it.
