Very good guess! after all GG does stand for good guesser! Yes that is a Paraiba Tourmaline from Brazil (not mozambique).. That is easily one of my favorite stones that i never get to sell because nobody knows anything about it and most people cannot afford it. Thanks for the link. I wouldnt want to break any rules so early in the game!!!
That was never really a question in my mind. I knew if it was Paraiba that it was a real Paraiba, not one of the wannabe paraibas.

I know what you mean about hard to sell. I passed on them the first year that they came out at 6-800 per carat, knew THAT was not going to happen. Bought one the next year for $1,100 per carat that was not as nice as the $600 per carat that I passed up the year before and sold it back to the same dealer I bought it from two years later for over $3k per carat. Wish I had one of those today at well over 10k per carat...

Anyway, welcome. Enjoy. Read a lot this first few weeks then come play. We need you here so don''t let us run you off while you are learning the ropes of our lovely world.

Now the little bugger works! I had somehow managed to create a double dot com pricescope..com. I fixed it above but can not fix it in my first post.

no

my advise if you want too know the cut quality is order an ideal-scope it will tell you far more than the GIA grade.

No, I would need a bit more info to tell u exactly what GIA would give it as a cut grade. Such as girdle thickness, culet, etc etc. I coul get u in the ball park based on the info u gave but not exact.

ok so here is as much information as i have to try and determine Cut grade.

GIA cert 13140769 Date feb 09 2004-

Measurements-6.44-6.51x3.95mm
Depth 61%
Table 56%
Crown angle as per GIA(called them) 34.9 deg

Max.

Reread the advice you’ve been given above. Your question has been answered several times. The ONLY way to reliably get a GIA cut grade is to ask GIA. Armed with a Sarin or Ogi scan and a bit of software licensed by GIA, a gemologist can estimate how GIA will grade a stone but even that isn’t sufficient. A somewhat less reliable but free estimation method is available on their website at www.reportcheck.gia.edu but you are missing several of the pieces of information required even for that. You can, of course, guess at some of the data but it seems to be important to you to have a real GIA assigned cut grade and, for that, you need to go directly to the source or buy a stone that already has had it done.
