I have a diamond that needs a GIA certificate. If possible, can anyone assist me with this? What is the process in getting my diamond ring a GIA certificate. Also I live in orange county, CA and I need a good appraisor. Any suggestions. Thanks
Hi,
The stone will have to be loose for the GIA to perform a report on it. If you don't want to unmount the diamond, your appraiser can do a plotting diagram and grading report with it in the setting. Cindy
i would suggest you taking or send the stone to g.i.a in carlsbad, and you can even ask them to laser inscribe the certificate number on the girdle of the stone!!(this way you can identify it in the future,)
after all this has been done then you should have it appraised by a reputable gemologist /appraiser!!
