Hello! I just got a diamond certified by GIA and got this comment under clarity.
Anyone know the meaning of it? I have never seen it before.

Not potential means that GIA feels the stone cannot be recut to Internally Flawless. Many times dealers ask if a diamond with minor inclusions is potentially flawless if recut. VS2 would be on the low end of hoping a little weight loss would change a diamond that much without losing too much weight.

Yeah I also was a bit taken aback they would add that since it was a VS2 diamond :shock:
