Getting five highly fluorescent stones

I'm buying DW a classic five-stone ring (.3ct-.35ct each) as a right-hand ring or 2nd wedding band, and it would make it special if all the diamonds would glow when we go out to places with UV lights. What's the best way for me to go about sourcing these stones/ring? Here's what I've done, am I doing it wrong:

I figured I couldn't go wrong with Brian Gavin Blue, so I asked them to start looking and provide me a quote. After a few weeks of their factory seeking out stones they haven't been able to get five yet. I'm not in a rush, so BG is still looking.

But when I just checked on PriceScope search I found 10 stones that match my criteria! (GIA XXX, HCA Excellent, G-H, VS1-SI1, Strong-Very Strong fluorescence)

At a .3ct size I'm wondering whether the differences between a BG Blue and a HCA Excellent w/Str Fluoro stone will be noticeable...
  • For the bling factor DW already wears a 2ct WF ACA engagement ring, so I don't need it for that. But is the light return for quite small super-ideals noticeable versus an GIA XXX w/HCA Excellent?
  • Are BG Blue so fluorescent that going with a generic GIA Strong can pale in comparison?
  • Will a set of GIA Str-VStr stones be wildly different levels of glowing and BG Blue more consistent?
  • Are there other approaches that I should consider?
  • Heck... will the fluorescence in .3ct even be visible or am I wasting my time?

Fluor is fluor - it is even noticeable in melee (even more so when a few from many stand out!), it just depends on how strong it is.

BGB stones will be cut for best light perfromance, like other BG stones, but they have the added bonus of fluor and a lower price than non-fluor :)

The missus has Whiteflash 0.1ct melee - they are noticeably sparkly, and produce fire!

Bg blues come with different levels of Fluor too. Each stone is different.

If you'd like, ask Whiteflash for a quote as well. I believe there may be a repeat customer discount too.

The ring sounds cool! I'd personally play it safe and go with BGD; the cut and no-milkiness guarantee would make the wait worth it for me, plus it sounds like they're actually looking by eye for stones that are similar fluorescence levels rather than just choosing by the intensity listed on their certificates, which isn't very precise (i.e. a Medium could be slightly more than a Faint or nearly a Strong).

But whichever vendor you choose, if the stones are different intensities of fluorescence, which they probably will be to some extent, I'd request that they be set in some sort of order by intensity (such as graduating faintest-to-brightest from ends to centre or from left to right), so that the pattern of glow levels looks planned rather than random.

Were it me, I would go with BGD.
