Hey All,
So I found a setting at Spence that I really like, but haven't been able to find the same one online.
I do however think that buying online is a much better option for my diamond. It seems I'll be able to get a much better, much bigger diamond at a bit of a better price as well. I wanted to get my setting and diamond in one place so it all came to me together as one ring.
Sounds like custom rings is the way to go right? I was just curious about... how precisely can I expect the custom setting to match the setting that I found in person? And my other question.. I was originally set on ordering from JamesAllen but I read(in passing) that some users wouldn't get their custom rings there and would use WhiteFlash instead? Why is that?
Some of the ring details... (Picture will be below, I just wanted to call some things out)
- The band itself is quite thin
- It is an engagement ring + wedding band matching pair (At Spence they called them interlocking rings). Note: I would want to get the wedding band made as well.
- The engagement ring, in addition to the main diamond, is also set with "three full cut round diamonds 0.045twt SI-2 clarity HIJ color; three full cut round diamonds 0.045twt SI1-2 clarity HIJ color". This means there are a total of 7 diamonds (six side diamonds + the main one). The side diamonds are smaller as you can see from the total weight and much cheaper as you can see from the color/clarity.
- I liked the way that the ring resembles a flower
- The items pictured are the ring with a 0.3ct diamond. I'm hoping to bump this up to 0.4ct. As for the side diamonds... should I get an "upgrade" on the colour/clarity? I'm not sure if it would make a big difference...
- I'm open to the idea of a non-custom ring as well if it matches these criteria
1. Resembles a flower
2. Has a matching wedding band
3. Not a regular circle shape (Not sure how to describe this... some terminology enlightenment would be much appreciated!)
4. Has a thin band
5. Has supporting diamonds in addition to the main one
I've attached some pictures to help communicate my message... The yellow gold ring is a catalogue picture. The rings I'm interested in will actually be in white gold.
