Is it worth it to get a diamond appraised by a PS appraiser in order to assess the durability of an I1 diamond? I've been told by my vendor's gemologist that durability as a result of the inclusion will not be a problem.

There are some strong opinions on PS about I1 diamonds (many would never consider one, others-like me-consider them excellent bargains if you're okay with the given inclusion/s). I am okay with the inclusion, as long as the increased durability risk is none to very marginal.
I have spoken with my James Allen rep twice about this, and all they can tell me is that the gemologist said it will not be a durability concern. The feather is right under a crown facet, very close to the surface without breaking it. Because it fits so "nicely" under a portion of a facet, it is so, so, so incredibly hard to find. In fact, I know exactly where it is on the diamond, and I have to look extremely hard from less than 6 inches away to lock onto it. When I look at the diamond in all lighting conditions, the inclusion is the absolute last thing that comes to my head. In other words, I am not concerned about the eye cleanliness of this diamond, as it is acceptably eye clean to me.
To give some $$$ perspective on this purchase, I paid in the ballpark of $2300. A diamond with the exact same characteristics but with SI2 clarity or greater is literally at least $1000 more, and more often than not into the $4000 range (twice the price I paid!). As long as durability really isn't an issue (or only adds marginal risk durability), I am inclined to keep this diamond. I was really in love with an M color AVR from GOG, but the MRB is bigger, brighter in many lighting conditions, and has more fire in most lighting conditions except direct sunlight. Oh, and the MRB is much whiter (but I do like the M color of the AVR
So again, my question: is it worth it to get an independent appraiser's opinion on this issue?
