Hi, with diamonds, round cut I am specifically speaking about, there are cutting parameters and guides to help you choose the best cut to maximise the potential brilliance, fire & scintillation.
This is what we all generally strive for in diamonds, light performance, however this is not a guarantee using just the cutting numbers.
I have heard Gemex quantifies light performance for these 3 metrics on a scale.
My question is:
a) Has anyone used Gemex certs and would recommend them in terms of their ability to accurately describe the light performance of a diamond in real life viewing?
b) If this certificate does seem to be the answer for light performance, should cutting angle info and aset/ideal/H&A scope images be used as a secondary tool to choose a diamond after one has viewed a Gemex certificate?
