weird double post sorry........

Gorgeous cutting (as usual for Gene), and it's a nice size.

If you don''t say it I would have guessed umbalite garnet. Very decent size.

Ooooo...very nice!

i assume you''re having it sent to you for final approval. please post pictures. i''m not usually a tourmaline person because they just don''t have the zap of a garnet but if i were to ever buy a tourmaline, it would be from gene. i think he''s got a natural affinity for picking rough and then cutting it.

Very nice! I say go for it!!!

Lovely! I guess you''ll have to wait to see it but it looks promising! Post pics when you get it.

Thank you tourmaline- I am sooo excited. This is my first colored stone purchase and I can''t wait to see it in person. Gosh, hope it won''t take to long to arrive.

Well you did good for a first time stone purchase. My first time stone purchase was an ugly badly cut citrine. I think I''ll give it to my daughter to play with.

Beautiful stone! Very nice choice for a first, I think

He''s the faceter extraordinaire who sells amazing gems at great prices on www.precisiongem.com.

Do let us know how it is. Good tourmalines aren''t easy to find. Most tend to get muddy in indoor lights.

Congrats! Please post pics when you get it. Are you planning to set it as a ring?

It''s strange that I don''t like oval diamonds but I love oval colored stones!

I didn''t know that. I have a beautiful green tourmaline that I just love. Vibrant neon green. It''s small so I am not really planning to do anything with it. I just like looking at it :)

That''s a good enough reason to buy: gotta love it and enjoy looking at it.
