Hello experts! Long time lurker hoping to get some help with my search. I've seen a preference for HPHT stones as they seem to have overall less issues than CVD. I've been looking specifically for a GCAL 8x stone to increase odds of finding a good cut. However, it seems just about all the 8x stones I'm finding are CVD. Is an HPHT non-8x stone significantly better than a CVD 8x? I don't feel confident enough in my ability to identify a good cut via the numbers (outside of filtering by the recommended parameters) so have not really been considering IGI, GIA, etc. I'm looking for something around the 3ct mark, at least G color and VS2 clarity. Here's one I'm considering, though it's CVD: https://www.gcalusa.com/certificate-search.html?certificate_id=lg323350317. Thanks for any guidance!

I like this option a lot!

I like this one, too. The fire video is great and I think the hearts and arrows look really nicely proportioned.

This is a beautiful stone. I couldn't find much other than this one when I searched for a well cut HPHT in this size.

Thanks, everyone, for the feedback! Really excited to hear the stone looks like a good one.
Thanks @Kim N for the suggestion! Surprisingly, the 8x is a bit cheaper than this HPHT so I may just go for it since everyone seems to like it despite being a CVD!

I do see some slight graining and possibly a bit of haziness in the rotational view, so make sure you scrutinize the heck out of it (especially under indirect lighting) to see if it takes on a hazy/cloudy appearance in certain viewing conditions.

I couldn't zoom in on the rotational view, but I could with the fire view...you can see signs of the growth graining. May not be anything to remotely worry about but keep it in mind, nonetheless.

Thank you! I did end up buying and will definitely keep this in mind when it arrives!

Can't wait to hear what you think IRL.

Out of interest, how was it?
