This only applies to avid readers, but for reading as much as I do it's odd that I've never read a Harry Potter book, nor do I have any intention of doing so.

That's not that odd I haven't either and a lot of avid readers consider them to the drivel.

I have never driven a Ford other than a tractor on a street.

I''m a fan of any book that inspires people to read, and the series certainly managed that. I majored in English and I had to read a chapter of the first book and I thought: this is a well written childrens'' novel how nice for kids, but not interest catching enough for me to want to read the whole book.
