Gallery rail or no gallery rail?

Hi everyone,
I'm in the final stages of design for my ring and would like everyone's opinion! I was planning on going with a traditional 4 prong setup with a 1.9 carat oval diamond. However, my jeweler seems persistent that I should have a gallery rail to make the setting more secure and durable. I personally like the look without the gallery rail much more, but if it is too much of a risk than I would be willing to include the gallery rail.

Is this your ER?
If so, do you plan to wear it every day?
Do you trust your jeweler?
If you answered yes to all of the above, go with the recommendations of your jeweler.
It’s not just about aesthetics, but durability and securing the diamond. If the person creating this masterpiece makes an educated recommendation, I’d go with it.
