Hi everyone,
I am new around here and i find this forum a mine of knowledge, thanks everyone for all the info in here.
I would love to hear some of your opinions on G/SI2 diamonds.
Currently i am in the process of upgrading my engagement ring, i have currently a cushion G/ SI1 8.39mm aprox. I wanted to keep it in the same range color/ clarity wise so i found a diamond that I absolutely love, it's an Oval with the nicest cut i have ever seen and it's a G color but faces up like an F. the problem is it's an SI2. I wasn't in the market shooping for an SI2 but the jeweler show it to me anyway due to it's beautiful cut and how much fire it has and the large carat size ( almost 5 carat)
Now to the point, the inclusion is on the table of the diamon but not in the center, it's a feather so looks like a scratch when you look at it with the loupe, but to the naked eye it's really hard to see, it's really really hard to see almost impossible because it hides in the facets of the stone or at least was very hard for me to see it.
Problem is , now that i know the inclusion is there will it bother me down the line?
What's your experience with SI2 diamonds ? Do they retain good value?and would you be willing to sacrafice having that inclusion but getting a super sparkly white well cut unique stone?
Or should i pass it up be patient and wait to find the perfect G SI1???
Thanks for reading
