It was in one of the weirdo ones. I selected all and then changed it to times new roman.

Weird...I got it to work on DH's computer, but I'm trying it on my Mac and its not working.

I think it was a form of wingdings, part of it turned in to letters. I took the letters and it spelled the clue. It was a total fluke, I was just playing with fonts, sizes, and colors for a while.

Those are hints for 16? I'm definitely very tired, but I don't get it! I'm on the "Where in the world?" level (which is maybe not 16?) I already did the wingdings one.

I should go to bed though. Tomorrow is NOT going to bed fun!

There are coordinates in the source code. I had a hard time finding an atlas that would give me a specific enough location

Yes, I'll tell you how I did it!

I just went into Word, pulled up the Wingdings font, and typed all the letters in lower & upper cases. I used that as a key and pasted the letters from the image onto a separate line until I had the clue.

We had to do it on my computer, since FI's wasn't showing the image with Wingdings.

See, I got the coordinates right from the start. I just can't figure out how to translate it into a place!

I think she means that she recorded the letters on the keyboard that correspond to wingding images. I think there are keys for this online. The text file might not be showing the images properly on your computer.

You might be able to guess the answer without decoding the text file. Think of everything you see on a map and start some trial and error!

yeah...I don't think the characters are loading properly, none of them match to anything that is in wingdings 1, 2, 3, webdings, or symbol. i will start guessing!

I didn't know there were different formats? If I remember correctly, the top is longitute and the bottom number is latitude. So just put the period after the second number in each line. I looked it up in Google Latitude, but I couldn't get a specific enough picture so I pulled out a paper map of the region (lucky my old roomate moved there a few years ago and I bought a map when I visited him).

The first part is for 16 and the second part is for 19

Yeah, I entered the 4th set in Google because I didn't know any better. I dropped them while using the actual atlas.


I think the spaces in 19 will somehow line up to give the clue. The source code says to get rid of the page breaks. That's the annoying and long part. Then I think its a matter of adjusting font size (maybe type?) until some magical happens.

Porridge -- how on EARTH did you know how to do this quiz? How did you know to use html code? I've been following the clues and the hints here and it's HARD!!!

Zoe - I only knew cos the word "source" made me think of source code, and I have a small bit of experience with it, basic web pages for work etc. Don't let it frustrate you - it's a specifically targeted type of quiz to computer geeks I think. If it was say a literary puzzle I'd be stumped on the first one tearing my hair out!

Morning all! Delighted to see ye've all made great headway. What I really mean is I'm delighed to see hints here for the levels I haven't done yet

I'm at work posting on the sly but if I try level 15 on a PC rather than a mac will it make a difference?! Can't wait for lunchtime!
