Actually, I heard quite the opposite...when we bought our diamond yesterday, the GIA specialist told us that price of diamonds per carat were expected to go up as of today....

Hmmm, the cutters don''t seem to know anything about this new program

We pulled a really good one on Dusty today though... We took a screen shot of his computer, saved it as a bitmap and then changed the background of his desktop to that file... Then we right clicked on the task bar at the bottom of the screen and right clicked on ''arrange by'' and then unchecked ''show desktop icons'' which removed the valid program icons from his screen... So when he came back from lunch, none of the icons on his desktop would work and he couldn''t figure it out... So we sent him up the street to talk to the local computer guru''s about it, but we had called them... They told him that it was a new virus that was running rampant and that if left unchecked it would devour the hardrive... He was flipping

LOL! That is so classic! I hope you came up with a "magic fix" within a reasonable time!

In my workplace we are banned from doing any such activity - besides it would result in massive retaliation from my fellow Admins. That came about due to an incident when one of us was meeting with a sales rep and one of the other Admins took over his screen remotely - the pictures that started coming up on his display made him cut the meeting really short....

Way, way before that in another area of the company we had a word processing program that had separate display and printer fonts.... As a joke I switched the English Font for the printer to Greek for this one friend who was learning Greek. Everything he typed showed in English on his screen and printed out in Greek! He loved it! (We fixed it when he went to lunch and didn't tell him how we did it).


Then there was the secretary who freaked when we put a washing machine cycle program with sounds on her PC the day after she spilled coffee on her keyboard....
