"Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn!"

Wait you can DO THAT WITH CHEESECAKE??? hmmmm... now I need to find a recipe!!! I thought you had to have it xD a base I mean.

I totally googled it.....but then remembered Cannoli dip ;)

Eh, there is (a lot of) butter in the cheesecake base in the ones I make, therefore, I must have a base!!!

DK :lol-2:

Gary had to give up the bad carbs and sugar - i looked for ages for options for cheesecake bases

the kato sugar free biscuits we tried were yucky - the coconut flower was the predominant taste and they were dry - also there were only 8 in a packet so not enough to make a crumb anyway

I make a Euro cheesecake that doesn't require cooking - but there are recepies for baked cheesecakes with no base out there - that gave me the idea
I just make the cheesecake into individual ramkins and honestly it was nicer than usual, i think it could be a bit sickly depending on how sweet the topping on the cheesecake is but i had raspberries
i was going to serve it with a couple of the kato choc chip biscuits (like you might serve a wafee) but they were too yucky too risk it

Edit on the sugar
My cheeeecake uses jello crystals not giliten or sugar so it was easy to buy a sugar free weight watchers pack

Well I am going to need to try it! I never ever have the materials to make the bottom whenever I want to make it but sometimes I do have it to make the top. So im super duper interested!

Also it seemed so much quicker and easy not to have to worry about making the base
liberate the cheesecake !

There’s fruit in pie. I’ve decided to have “fruit” for breakfast. For the holidays, I am putting heavy whipping cream in my coffee.

That's what I always have with mine at home - double cream!

Mind you, I only have 1 cup of coffee a day in the morning.

I shall get extra cream for making cocktails and liqueur coffees!

DK :))

Too bad its hot at Christmas
I like the traditional idea of cream, brown sugar and whisky .....
Just thinking out loud

Meanwhile im having milk and tinned peaches on mine today

As per Rhett Bulter's famous last line in my favourite film of all time, being Gone With The Wind, this is the mood I am having as we progress into the festive season this year.

Life really is too short to be too cautious about being good with food and drink this year.

Hence I have started my festive cocktail making at home a few days ago to have a cocktail every day, instead of just in December.

Instead of a duck, I shall have a goose instead. A bit OTT for just one person in terms of cost as well as quantity; however, none will go to waste, and I shall fill up my fridge and freezer with goose related goodies afterwards.

Cheers everyone, be merry and stay safe!

DK :))

My family and I cooked a goose one year and it was so much fun! It renders a LOT of grease, but it is excellent fat. We saved it and used it to cook with for months and months afterwards. Diced potatoes tossed in goose fat and then cooked either in a skillet or roasted in the oven are divine!

So YAY on cooking a goose! Love it!
