Hello Pricescopers -

First I'd like to thank everybody for helping me out learn about diamonds. I've been around this site studying a lot before I went out to look for a real diamond.

I've narrowed it down to the final four, but am having a difficult time picking one.

I really need ur input! Diamonds are in the order of my preference. All are GIA triple ex cut, no flour, all have HCA below 2.

1) 1.28 ct, G, VVS2, (6.95 x 6.94mm) $9,970

2) 1.31 ct, G, VVS2, (7.01 x 7.03mm) $10,350

3) 1.20 ct, F, VVS2, (6.92 x 6.93) $10,330

4) 1.32 ct, G, VVS1 (7.09 x 7.11) S11,180

I also have 4 pictures of each but can only upload 4 pics at a time. I'll post a part 2 for the pictures.

Thanks!!

I prefer/voted for #2. Most bang for the buck.
Carefully consider diamond #1's pavilion facets at 80%.

Thanks mjir! I've never paid attention to the lower halves until you mentioned, and started looking it up! So so glad you mentioned this, now I realize how come some had prettier arrows (I do prefer a bit fat arrows) than others.

So glad I've posted here. I have decided to go with #2. I'll post pics once I receive it. Fingers crossed

Of all of them I would pick the first. It is the best value, and the numbers are the best IMO.

But the fact is, I wouldn't pay for VVS clarity in a round. Ever.

So I would advise you to drop to vs2 and save money. Get a nicer setting.

Without pics of the stones I'd say number 2

Hey all, trying to learn and enjoying the discussion.

A few or you are mentioning pavillion facets and I am trying to get up to speed. From what I recall, excellent cut have pavilion facets from 75 - 80%. I got the impression from the video I watched that 80% seemed the best. Here you all seem to indicated that 75% is better. Can people expound on their thoughts?

Much appreciated. :)
