Thank you Harleigh! You are getting closer! How are things? Did you ever find a new rehearsal dinner restuarant?
You''re very welcome! Can you believe I have less than 2 months to go? I just had my Open House at school on Thursday, which incidentally happened to be our 2 month mark, and now that that''s over, I feel at least a hundred times better! It''s like a huge weight has been lifted from my shoulders, so now I can focus on the wedding plans and getting moved into Rusty''s house when school is out in 3 weeks.

As for the welcome dinner, we have decided to stick with the venue that we originally booked. They are the oldest restaurant on Maui, established in 1972, which is the year I was born , so I felt a connection there

, and they are truly the only restaurant even willing to work within my in-laws very meager budget. They have been super friendly and very accommodating, and heck, it''s Italian food and Rusty''s mom asked, "How badly can they screw THAT up?" so we decided to just stick it out and see what happens. She said if it really sucks, we''ll make a McDonald''s run for everyone afterwards!

I did look into several other options, and every single restaurant laughed at the suggested per person budget, so with what we''re getting: salad, garlic bread, choice of 3 different meat and 1 veggie entree, dessert and soda & tea service, I realize that I just can''t get that anywhere else, and it seems to be very centrally located near most everyone. Hopefully no one gets sick or anything crazy like that...maybe the service will be a little slow and it might not be completely up to par, but if the restaurant''s lasted as long as it has, it can''t be all that bad, can it???

Thanks for checking in on me...I feel like I haven''t had any time to get on here and keep in touch with any of my PS friends this past week with the craziness of Open House! Only 3 weeks left to go and then I can focus on the move and the wedding. Still nothing planned for the August reception, but I don''t want to worry about that right now...after school is out, that will become a priority, but for now, I just want to get through the end of the school year!

Keep us posted on your new venue...I''m so excited for you! As you said, everything happens for a reason!

I know you will!

I would just wish it could be all you want and dream of, or as close to it as possible!

Should be doable, but I know there is a lot to factor in.

So just hoping all the planets align and this is IT for you.
Me too. We promised my parents today we would wait till after my mom''s appointment with the surgeon at the Mayo clinic on June 10th to make a decision. If she has surgery... and depending on what the surgeon says about her recovery. Things are going to be a little up in the air. So while I''m hoping to talk to them this week and ask them for a courtesy hold... I need to wait till the 11th of June before making any decisions about either this new venue or Vegas. John is now adamant we won''t be continuing with Garre though. So, that much has been decided. I''m feeling very Zen. There isnt'' much I can do till the 11th. And until then... I''ll just be for a while. Planet''s align indeed. Thank you very much for the good wishes, it means a lot.

Depends on what type of italian you are used to. But they should manage to open a can of Prego right??? If the budget is limited, then you are better off sticking there. And if you go in with low expectations, maybe you''ll be pleasantly surprised! Do your best to keep you head above water in the coming weeks, don''t worry about us... we''re here muddling along. And please take care of yourself. ((HUGS)) and thank you again for the good wishes!

Anytime, hun...I''m glad we''re all in this together! And I hope we are pleasantly surprised, as well! I''ll let you know how it turns out! Thanks so much for the words of wisdom!

Now I''m curious! I went to high school in livermore so I''m dying to hear about this venue when you''re ready to reveal it.

Gypsy - sounds incredible! I''m definitely keeping my fingers crossed for you and John!
