Hi All,

So I think I've finally found the delicate Halo setting I've been looking for. After viewing a few local jewelers Halo settings, I was a bit frustrated as most of them were hand/custom made, and upwards of 4000 dollars for the setting alone.

I came across the James Allen ME29 by Danhov, and was floored by how much it fits what I'm looking for.

I read the thread by a woman on this site who had to have her ring re-set due to an accident, and her .88ct H color stone looked phenomenal in the setting. Hopefully they custom fit the setting, as my budget would probably be more in the .70 -.75 range. Plus my girlfriend is somewhat petite, with a 4.5 sized finger, so I don't want it to look overly gaudy on her hand.

I'd really like to stick to the same place for my stone, and fortunately the James Allen site has actual pictures of their Diamonds. I was originally going to go with Whiteflash, as their site, selection of stones, and settings were also very nice.

Can the experienced Pricescopers helping me choose a stone?

I came across this one and it appears to be very clean

Is the coloring in the middle simply from scintillation? Or possibly the surface it was photographed on?

I'd like to avoid I color diamonds if possible, and perhaps stick to the H or G range. Eye clean is important, and I'd like it to be as best cut as possible. Judging by the prices, for me to afford a .70-.75, I'll probably have to avoid their "Truehearts" cut.

Let me know what you think, and thank you in advance for your time!

You need to give us your budget.

EDIT - you need to get them to load the report for this stone(the H) or send you a copy. Just looking at the picture, it looks like it may
have some issues but really need to know what the crown and pavilion angles are.

Hi,

Sorry about that.

The setting is about 2400 in white gold. I''d like to work in the 2000-2300 range for the stone itself.

Hum...not finding to many nice H''s. Here are a few that you will have to get Lorelei, SC, DD or some of the others to look at the images
to see if the light leakage will be noticable to the human eye (in their opinion).

A little over budget too at $2360

This is a vS2...should be eye-clean but you would have to ask

That first VS1 I you posted does look like it would be a beautiful diamond.

A few in person diamonds I saw at a reputable, albeit expensive, local jeweler were .58ct, J color, VS1 or VS2. They wanted 2100 dollars for those stones.

This blows those ones away.

Thank you very much for your input, it is very much appreciated.

that is a gorgeous setting - super delicate and blingy at the same time :) I love it
