This actually does not suprise me because Jonathan at GOG has the utmost intergrity and that is the way he runs his business. I can''t begin to tell you how good he has been to me.Date: 6/28/2006 5:17:43 PM

WOW!!!! Marie from GOG just called me. THEY ARE AMAZING!!!
She said that the reason for the huge price difference is probably because the jeweler here got that ring before the platinum and diamond price hikes. AND she told me to get the setting from them... AND told me how to get exactly what I want! She said to ask the jeweler to send the setting to Richard Landi to set the stone-- with thinner prongs and pave added on them (said the pave adds like a 100 bucks)!!!
The customer service there is PHENOMENAL!!! She said she just wants to see me get the setting I want, at the best price I can.
I''m in shock!
Ditto. Me too. ETA: Especially since the basket underneath doesn't match the shape of the stone & "support" or protect it from underneath even ...Date: 6/28/2006 5:35:07 PM

Aren't you afraid of those unprotected corners? I would be so afraid of them chipping. I'd set it with prongs on the corners if it was me.
