found old sapphire ring in Cadillac

Hello everyone, I came here today seeking information, i was recently stripping an 87 Cadillac coupe deville and found a sapphire ring under the back seat.. this car had been sitting for the last 20 years and was flawless interior wise, i was wondering if anyone new/had info on what this ring is and its authenticity! Thanks in advance to any help

Sorry, no one can tell from a photo.
check the inside of the ring for a hallmark.
if it’s stamped 925 (for silver) or 10k it’s likely glass or a lab sapphire.
if it’s stamped 14k /585/18k /750/ or Platinum it’s more likely to be a natural gem but even natural gems can be subjected to treatments.
Youd need to take it into a jeweller for an opinion. To know if it’s treated, that usually requires a lab certificate.
